Though Miller’s not yet as popular with studio execs as Marvel’s Stan Lee, he certainly can get his phone calls returned. He wrote two of the RoboCop sequels, was cited as an inspiration for Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins and, with Sin City, became the first graphic novelist to see his book truly represented — in story and in style — on screen.
