For those watching — these are all good ideas, but, if you’re thinking about writing comics, please, please remain non-dogmatic. Consider Frank Miller as the example at hand — the dialogue works on the page, but, as SIN CITY proved, you just can’t say that shit out loud.

Comics are a bastard art, a hybrid, and the limitations of the panel mean that comics dialogue takes from the slogan just as much as it takes from the theatre.
